Q: What will my child's pictures look like?

Unlike most school pictures, our unique portraits are taken outdoors, allowing for a natural, softly focused background. The outdoor setting also helps the students to relax, creating a portrait that parents are proud to display. Please read your upcoming Portrait Day Notice for specific information about possible weather delays. If necessary, photos may be taken indoors with a neutral backdrop.

Q: What should my child wear to Picture Day?

Our photography looks best when your child wears colorful clothes that are neat and comfortable. Their portraits could potentially show most of the upper torso and even the tops of legs, so be sure they wear an outfit that is appropriate for this composition. Hats are not allowed, and if they wear a hat to school on Picture Day remember that their hairstyle could be affected by it. Keep in mind that our photographers are not permitted to make physical contact with the children, and therefore will not be able to fix their hair, straighten jackets, etc. If you have specific style requests, please have the student give that information to the photographer on Picture Day.

Q: When will I receive my child's proofs?

You should receive a proof letter by mail approximately 3 to 4 weeks after the Picture Day. To order simply go online to https://coff62.sslcert19.com/sch_portraits.asp and place your order with your credit card. Upon receiving your order, Coffee Pond Photography will begin to process it. Some schools have special situations with different ordering instructions so please make sure to read all instructions on your proof letter.

Q: Can I order just one picture?

Our order forms have several packages to choose from, and we strive to accommodate a variety of portrait needs. While we do not sell photographs on an individual basis, we do offer economy-sized packages as well as Special Offer packages that can be ordered with the purchase of a regular package in order to get multiple pictures of the same size. Only the packages listed on the form are available for purchase. There are no exceptions or customizing. Please read your order form for specific details.

Q: Can I order a Group Class picture?

If your school requests that students be photographed in groups by class or grade, then a class picture is provided compliments of Coffee Pond to every student at no charge, with or without an order for individual portraits. However, if the school chooses not to have class group pictures taken, there will not be an option to order one on your order form and class pictures will not be part of the packages.

Q: How long does it take to receive my picture order?

Portrait Packages will be mailed directly to you at the address you submit on the order form approximately 3 to 5 weeks after your order is received in our office. In order to receive your final Portraits in time for the December Holidays, please make sure the order is in our office by the Order Deadline listed on your order form.

Q: What if I miss the order deadline?

Orders received after our Holiday Order Deadline will be processed and arrive to you within 3 to 5 weeks after you place the order. We will not rush orders we receive after the deadline - no exceptions! In order to keep our pricing down, we also have a deadline of January 1st to receive your final order. If you miss the deadline and still wish to purchase a package, you may. Simply mail your order form and payment directly to us or place your order online. However, keep in mind that there is a $20.00 late fee for all orders placed after January 1st.

Q: What if I want to order from the proofs, but would like the pictures retouched?

Basic retouching is available on all Proof Orders for a fee of $30.00. Basic retouching encompasses minor skin blemishes, cropping, stray flyaway hairs and any other small issues. More extensive retouching can be requested (fixing clothes, hair, teeth or major skin blemishes), but the charge will be based on the request and will likely be more than $30.00. Please note that you should add an extra week onto the delivery time for all retouch requests.

Q: What if I don't like my child's proofs?

If you are unhappy with the results of your child's proofs for any reason, you may elect to have them retaken. There is a $10.00 charge to sign up your child for Retake Day. Retake Day is scheduled to take place 3 to 6 weeks after the original Picture Day. If you choose to have your child retaken, please read the green postcard that will be enclosed with the proof order form. It will have the date of the Retake Day and all information you need to make sure your child is retaken when we return to the school. If you DO want a retake, please act immediately after receiving the card as the Retake Day is scheduled soon after the original Picture Day and all information is time sensitive. There is only one Retake Day and we will NOT return to the school after that date if your child does not show up to be photographed.

Q: What if my child missed the original Picture Day?

No problem. If your child is absent or unavailable on the original Picture Day, he or she is automatically signed up for the Retake Day, which will be approximately 3 to 6 weeks after the original Picture Day. You will receive information from the school about when and where the Retake Day will be. It is important that you make sure your child is aware of the Retake Day information and goes to the selected site to be re-photographed. There is only one Retake Day and we will NOT return to the school after that date if your child does not show up to be photographed.

Q: What if I don't like the Final Portraits?

If you are not happy with your final portrait package for any reason, please contact us to see if the package can be corrected for you. If you would like a refund, simply mail the entire undamaged package to Coffee Pond Photography within 10 days of receipt. If you choose to keep only the class photo the cost will be deducted from the total refund amount. Please read the information sheet inside your portrait package for specific refund details.

Q: Can I order more pictures after I receive the portrait order?

Absolutely. A reorder form will be included with your portrait package and you may order additional prints as often as you wish through May 1stof the following year.

Q: Can I purchase portraits from the previous year?

If you wish to purchase prints from previous years, please email our Customer Care Lifeguards for availability information. We will only be able to process these requests during our off-season, from February though August. Please be aware that an additional processing fee may be added to your order.

Q: Will my child's picture be used in the school yearbook?

To obtain this information, you should contact the yearbook advisor at your child's school. Although we do provide some schools with photographs for use as they see fit, Coffee Pond Photography is not directly involved in yearbook production.

Q: Can I make copies of the portraits on my own?

If you need more prints, you may order from the reorder form enclosed in your package. All of Coffee Pond Photography's material is copyrighted, and therefore cannot be legally copied without permission.
